Mental Adventures Keep Boomer Brain Power Sharp and the Cobwebs Away

It's fun, as well as an important brain strengthening strategy, to keep your mind growing.   Put another way, life's never dull when you're on a mental adventure.

And, wow, is this blogging adventure stretching my mind!  Since I'm a "glass is overflowing" rather than "half empty" personality, I'll admit that a lot of the learning is rugged terrain for my semi-computer- literate newbie blogger status.    However, just like giving birth to my two children was far and above worth any pain and discomfort encountered along the nine month gestation period -- so was the birthing of my blog a worthwhile means to an end and then a great new beginning.  That's how the good stuff grows!

I'm truly excited to tell you that one the many benefits of blogging is encountering so many bright, energetic people of all ages who are in the business of making this world a better place.

Just the exploration of what's out there in the blogging world introduced me to Wendy Spiegel, a woman who certainly is allowing no cobwebs to form in her brain.

Wendy is a passionate advocate for Boomers and 50 plussers in the workforce, or looking for work.  She's a veteran blogger (since 2005), considered an “expert” on the subject of careers and jobs for 50 plussers, and her blog has gotten quite popular due to that passion and her knowledge of the issues plaguing 50 plussers in the job market.  She also runs the largest careers group on Eons.com (Careers for Boomers and 50 Plus).  Check Wendy out at www.genplususa.com or http://genplus.blogspot.com.

Since the world of blogging invites interaction and helps grow community, join in.  Don't be shy.  Let's hear from you about your brain-challenging activities! And tell us about others who are stretching their brains in ways we should know.  In fact, we'll start a running link-list right here on this blog.

Write soon!  And please forward this blog to as many friends and associates as you wish.  Hopefully they''ll become Memory Tipsters as well.

     Don't Forget!
